Peanut



eanuts, also called groundnuts, is a plant of the legume family and its fruits contain the seeds so appreciated in gastronomy.
The fruits grow in the ground, into a woody shell containing within one to five seeds.
Nutritional properties of peanut
Is a food with a high nutritional value and very beneficial to health. Is rich in fatty acids (energy source), B group vitamins, vitamin E (antioxidant and protective immune system), vitamin A, and the following minerals: phosphorus, potassium, zinc, iodine, iron, sodium and selenium.
Anyway, it can be allergenic to some people, they must prevent their consumption.
Peanut Uses
Are peanut butters and creams and oil is produced. With the roasted seeds develops a coffee substitute. Peanut is used a lot in Indian and Asian cuisine.
It can be eaten roasted (with or without skin), sweet (candied) or raw. Its use is widespread as a starter and / or candy, is now prepared industrially in most bars, shops and service areas.
It is used to prepare many different dishes, especially as part of salsa and salads, pasta dishes and pastries (cookies, cakes, candies, etc..)

Of note, peanut shell is used up, it has value to the industry as fuel.
